Ms. Christine Pickens is with Operation PAR,Inc. of Pinellas Park, Florida, and has specialized in the field of substance abuse and mental health nursing for over 16 years. Her present experience as the Director of Nursing at Operation PAR has allowed her to have extensive clinical and administrative involvement as well as a community concentration. Most recently, her focus has been on tobacco use and cessation within the treatment setting.
The FSAS is honored to welcome Christine Pickens to our 2012 Annual School which will be held at Springfield College, School of Human Services at The Atrium in Tampa, Florida. She is scheduled to instruct Your Smoke Free Environment, a Sunday Workshop offered at our 2012 Annual School on July 15, 2012.
Your Smoke Free Environment
The learner will identify 3 reasons to address tobacco use while in an addiction setting.
The learner will identify keys to a successful transition.
The learner will formulate a plan to becoming and remaining tobacco free.
