Kay Doughty is currently the Vice President of Family and Community Services for Operation PAR, Inc.. She graduated from Drezel University with a Bachelor of Science, the University of South Florida with a Master of Arts: Education, and holds an MBA with a Human Resource Management miner from Nova University. She is the Chair of the Citizen's Advisory Committee, Board of County Commissioners in Hillsborough County and the Chair of the Florida Substance Abuse Prevention Advisory Council. She was also awarded the Professional of the Year Award by the Florida School of Addictions Studies in 2000.
With the Florida Certification Board, Kay served as the Past President and is currently serving as the Secretary. Kay has presented at multiple Florida Alcohol and Drug Abuse Association Annual Conferences, Women's Conferences and Prevention Conferences speaking on topics such as prevention, ethics, confidentiality, effective treatment, and women's issues since 1990.
Kay also co-presented at the National Prevention Dissemination Network Conference in San Diego with Dr. Donald Gordon in 2002. She has also presented at various venues for the Florida Certification Board on Certification, Addiction Professionals, and Addiction Prevention Professionals since 1995.
The FSAS is honored to welcome Kay Doughty as the instructor for the the Substance Exposed Newborns Plenary Session at our 2012 Annual School which will be held at Springfield College, School of Human Services in Tampa, Florida on July 15-19, 2012. Kay's Plenary will be held at 8:30 a.m. on Tuesday, July 17, 2012.
