2010 FSAS Scholarship Information

The Florida School of Addictions Studies is pleased to announce that a limited number of scholarships are again available for students who demonstrate financial need and meet the criteria specified by the various agencies who donate scholarship funds. Scholarships include full tuition, lunch Monday through Wednesday, and Tuesday evening’s dinner and special activities. Scholarships DO NOT INCLUDE the cost of dorm, hotel accommodations, or Sunday Workshops.

Scholarship Donors and Criteria

Florida School of Addictions Studies for persons working in the substance abuse field through donations--Sid Archer Memorial Scholarship, Bill Snyder Memorial Scholarship, Mitzie May Memorial Scholarship, Martha Johnson Memorial Scholarship, Don Godwin Memorial Scholarship, Noreen O’Shaughnessy Bryant Memorial Scholarship, and Bob Appleby Memorial Scholarship.

Florida Association of DUI Programs-for individuals working in DUI programs. Donation includes funding for the Justice James C. Adkins, Jr. Memorial Scholarship.

Department of Children & Families: to persons working in the substance abuse field. These include one for the Professional of the Year.

Tommy Seagraves, Sheriff, Nassau County: Underwrites-Designated scholarships provided to persons working in the substance abuse field in Nassau County.

Northeast Florida Safety Council, Inc. for volunteers and/or persons working in the substance abuse field.

Ray Hellier Memorial Scholarship provided by Corporate Care Works

Michael Diaz Memorial Scholarship-provided by Phil Diaz

River Region Human Services, Inc.- to volunteers and/or persons working in the substance abuse field

Gateway Community Services

Operation PAR, Inc. designated scholarships:
(1) Dr. Lou Salerno Memorial Scholarships; and
(2) Arnold Andrews Memorial Scholarships

Other Scholarships: Other scholarships are provided by other donors solicited by FSAS board members.
