Tedd Moorehouse currently has 32 years in long term recovery from alcoholism and other addictions and has been working as a counselor for 30 of those years. He retired from the US Navy in 1991 where he served that last 11 years as an Alcoholism Treatment Specialist. After retireing, he returned to school where he finished a BA in Psychology and Management from Columbia College and in 2000 completed a dual master's program at Webster University with a focus on management and human resource development. In 2009, he compled a master's degree again with Webster University in mental health counseling and is currently a Registered Mental Counseling Intern in the State of florida where he is satisfying the requirements for licensure.
He is co-owner and founder, with his wife, of the Moorehouse Group, Inc., dba Sigma Center for Counseling where they provided Outpatient and Inensive Outpatient for individuals with SUD and MH issues.
He has over 420 vhours towards certification in psychodrama and is certified as an experiential therapist. He believes that people help people and that people can change.
The FSAS is honored to welcome Tedd Moorehouse back to our Annual School where he will teach the course Addictions A-Z.
Addictions A-Z
The purpose of this training is to:
- Develop, explore and expand the language of addictions,
- Demonstrate how all addictions change the brain that changes behavior.
- Discuss body, mind and spirit aspects of addressing process and substance addictions.
- Make a connection between documentation and the treatment of addictions.
